Interface gearbox

Planetary gearbox is a type of interface gearbox where the input and output shafts are aligned. The solar gearbox is used to transmit a large torque in the most compact form possible. This type of gearbox is used in applications that require high torque density, high efficiency and durability. The simple design is a very efficient and effective way to transfer power from the motor to the output. Almost 97% of the input energy in this gearbox is delivered as output.

The planetary gearbox consists of three main components:

  • A planetary gear located in the center (center gear).
  • Planetary gears
  • Satellite or external gear

These three components form one floor of the planetary gearbox. For higher ratios, more layers are used. These types of gearboxes work with electric motors, hydraulic motors and other drive motors.
